About
Change the Practice. Elevate the Profession.
A national, practitioner-led professional network advancing Community Engagement as a professional discipline within law enforcement. Formerly CEO Practitioner Network.
It was created because the people responsible for connecting law enforcement agencies and communities are often expected to carry significant responsibility without a shared professional home, consistent support, or access to others doing the same work.
CE SHIFT gives those professionals a place to connect, learn, exchange resources, and strengthen the practice of Community Engagement.
What CE SHIFT is
From CEO Practitioner Network to CE SHIFT
The CEO Practitioner Network is becoming CE SHIFT. It is the same network, with the same members, applications, and accounts, under a name that reflects where the work is going.
CE SHIFT serves sworn and civilian professionals whose agencies use many different titles for Community Engagement responsibilities.
Our Purpose
CE SHIFT exists to connect, develop, elevate, and support law enforcement Community Engagement professionals.
What We Believe
Community Engagement is not simply event planning, public visibility, or maintaining positive relationships.
It is professional work requiring strategy, judgment, communication, partnership development, facilitation, organizational awareness, follow-through, and the ability to demonstrate value.
There's Room at the Table
CE SHIFT complements the training, conferences, and professional organizations already serving this field. Learn wherever it serves you best.
CE SHIFT is where you bring that learning back, put it into action inside your agency, and share what works.
Our Direction
CE SHIFT is being built as a national professional home where practitioners can strengthen their work, learn from the field, contribute resources, build professional relationships, and help advance Community Engagement within law enforcement.
Founder
Founded from the work itself.
CE SHIFT, formerly CEO Practitioner Network, was founded by Carlai Moore, a law enforcement Community Engagement practitioner, trainer, speaker, and founder of Tables and Bridges.
CE SHIFT grew from firsthand experience with the responsibilities Community Engagement professionals carry, the isolation many practitioners experience, and the need for stronger professional infrastructure around the role.
Tables and Bridges remains the parent and methodology company behind CE SHIFT, providing the training and professional-development engine supporting the work.
